A restaurant, only slightly better than Denny's and IHoP, not always as good as Perkins, but generally more accomodating than Fridays. The coffee is about as good as the location, which is to say not so good. Of course, the coffee is also under $2.00, and is supposed to come with free refills, which you may or may not get in this lifetime.

Certain locations are open all night, others are only open all night on weekends, and still others can't be bothered to be open much at all. None of this really matters, as they spend much of their time being nonsmoking locations, especially on Sundays.

If you're faced with no other choice, Village Inn is a fine place to spend some time. You may want to be sure that your mobile phone is charged, though, because, in some locations, the only way you can get service is by having a pizza delivered.
